Introduction

Here at Angel Recruitment we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the services / information you have requested from us.

Below you will find an outline of what information we keep, how we use and store that data, along with how we comply with GDPR legislation, and your rights.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

In 2018 the new data protection legislation, European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force.

GDPR brings outdated personal data rules up to speed with an increasingly digital era. The regulations have been applied in all EU member states since 25th May 2018. The UK government has decided that the content of GDPR should also apply after the UK leaves the EU.

Data Collected & Stored

In order for our users to benefit from the services provided by Angel Human Resources we collect information from our client and candidate users via our website, as well as offline.

Candidate Data:

To provide the best possible employment opportunities tailored to your requirements we need to process certain information.

We only ask for details that help us to help you, this includes:

  • Your name, age, and contact details

  • Education and employment history

  • Immigration status, emergency contacts

  • Financial information (where we need to carry out financial background checks), and national security number.

Where appropriate, and in accordance with local laws and requirements, we may also collect information related to your health, diversity information or details of any criminal convictions. And, of course, you may choose to share other relevant information with us.

Client Data:

As an Angel Recruitment client, we collect and use information about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of providing you services such as:

  • Finding candidates who are the right fit for you or your company

  • Providing you with managed services

We also collate other data, as necessary. This includes: Contracts / terms of business (TOB), emails, phone numbers, work /communications history.

Supplier Data:

Angel Recruitment needs a small amount of information from our suppliers to ensure that things run smoothly. This includes:

  • Relevant details for our points of contact at your organisation, for coordination purposes

  • Other key information, such as bank details – so we can pay for the services you provide, as per our contract with you.

We also collate other data, as necessary. For example: Contracts / terms of business (TOB), emails, phone numbers, work /communications history.

Referees and Emergency Contacts:

Angel Recruitment requires some essential background information on our candidates and our staff. We only ask for very basic contact details so we can get in touch with you, either for a reference or because you’ve been listed as an emergency contact, for one of our candidates or staff members.

This is so we can:

  • Provide candidates with suitable employment opportunities safely and securely

  • Best support every eventuality for both our candidates and our staff

Accuracy, Preference & Data Security

Angel Recruitment is committed to recording accurate personal data. This information largely consists of information collected via our registration forms (online and on paper).

We take every precaution to protect our users information both online and offline:

  • Registration forms encrypt and protect information using our secure email system

  • Secure pages are flagged up by a lock icon found at the bottom of web browsers – such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. This icon is usually unlocked or open, it will be locked while on secure pages

  • We also do everything in our power to protect user-information offline. All of our users information – not just sensitive information – is restricted in our offices, and paper records are stored securely.

Preferences:

Angel Recruitment may use your data to enhance your service experience by recording personal preferences, geographical location and interests.

Data Breaches:

The company does not claim to be hacker-proof. Online security is reviewed at least annually. In the event of a data breach Angel Recruitment will inform you (as well as any relevant authority) within one month of becoming aware of the breach.

Transferring & Sharing Data

The Administrator (which includes any assistant) is the principal processor of your data. Bookkeeping is also overseen by the Administrator and supervised by an independent, qualified accountant, who must process users data according to their legal obligations.

Angel Recruitment hires an IT consultant, as necessary, however they do not usually require access to users data. Should that need arise work would be carried out under supervision.

Angel Recruitment’s Officers may wish to look at user data from time to time. However, we will not share one user’s details with another. We may share numerical or other statistical information (such as surveys) with our clients. This is called aggregated demographic information and is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

Your data will not be disclosed to third parties, unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so. This is subject to any third party disclosures specifically set out in this policy. This includes our affiliates and / or other companies within our group.

Angel Recruitment does not knowingly transfer your data outside of the EU.

Your Rights

Angel Recruitment holds on to your data throughout the period of you using our services. You have various rights in relation to the personal data we hold. To get in touch about these, please contact us via hq@angelhr.org. We will endeavour to deal with your request promptly, and in accordance with any applicable laws.

Please note: we may keep a record of your communications to help us resolve any issues you raise.

Objections:

If we are using your data because we deem it necessary for our legitimate interests to do so, and you do not agree, you have the right to object. We will respond to your request within 30 days (although we may be allowed to extend this period in certain cases). Generally, we will only disagree with you if certain limited conditions apply.

Just so it’s clear, you have the right to ask us to confirm what information we hold about you at any time. You may also ask us to modify, update or delete that information. We may comply with your request or, additionally, do one of the following:

  • Ask for your request to be made in writing and presented to our consultants

  • Ask you to verify your identity

Amendments:

If your personal information changes (anything from contact information to name changes) please contact us with your updated details here: hq@angelhr.org .

Erasure:

You have the right to request us to “erase” your personal data in certain situations. This could be because we have processed your data unlawfully.

Please note: if we agree to your request, we will delete your data, but will generally assume that you would prefer us to keep a note of your name on our register of individuals who choose not to be contacted. This will minimise the chances of you being contacted in the future should your data be collected in unconnected circumstances.

  • Ask that for your request be made in writing and presented to our consultants

Complaints:

In the first instance service-users should submit any complaint directly to Angel Recruitment via hq@angelhr.org.
