£9. 80 per hour

Mon to Thurs 10.30 to 5pm and Friday 9am until 3.30pm term time only.

Job introduction

We are currently recruiting for experienced catering assistants/ general assistant to join a wonderful team, within a high-profile education site.  We’re looking for an individual who has a flair for customer service, has a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers and of course has a love for food or a desire to know more!

Responsibilities

As a catering assistant you will engage with the students by serving them hot or cold food,

Taking payments and creating an atmosphere that the students will enjoy their dining experience.

Restocking of products and laying out food and counter displays so they look attractive and inviting

The ideal candidate

• The ability to cope with periods of pressure and prioritise workload accordingly
• A can do attitude and the willingness to want to learn
• Passionate about catering and enjoy working with people
• Communicate effectively with both staff and student
• To be self-motivating and able to act on own initiative with minimum levels of supervision
• Experience of working in a catering environment
